CONSTANCE E. CASHIN, SCMD
Connie Cashin, SCMD, began her career as a marketing director for the Hahn Company in 1975, and has since worked for foreign and domestic developers. After completing the Grand Opening of Fashion Square Sherman Oaks in 1990, she founded Cashin Marketing Consultants.

Cashin Marketing has been called upon by developers and management companies to work with centers of all sizes and types for consulting and hands-on implementation of marketing plans, advertising campaigns, public relations and events. Clients have included CB Richard Ellis, Decron Management Co., Donahue Schriber, Douglas, Emmett & Co., DSB Properties, The Festival Companies, Fru-Con Development, General Growth, Grubb & Ellis, Janss Corp., La Cagnina & Associates, LaSalle Partners, MMI Realty Services, Newhall Land, National Retail Partners, O & S Holdings, Prime Retail, Shelter Bay Retail Group, The Simay Co., Trammel Crow, TrizecHahn, Westfield, Inc., and others.

Connie has received numerous awards for her work in the shopping center industry, including two International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) “MAXI” Merit Awards, several Newspaper Advertising Bureau “NABY” Awards, the IABC/LA “Bronze Quill” and “Ace” Awards, and several Southern California Marketing Directors Association Robert “Magic” Jones Awards for Creativity and “Bravo” Awards for Advertising.

She has served as President of the Southern California Marketing Directors Association, has been on their Board of Directors for over 20 years and is currently Chairman of the Robert “Magic” Jones Awards Program. Connie served on the ICSC’s 2003 MAXI Award Committee, and as a MAXI Judge in 2002, 2003 and 2004. She has been called upon to chair ICSC Programs for the Southern California region, as a speaker at conferences, and on the editorial advisory committee for the “ICSC Library of Forms for Small Shopping Centers.” She is a frequent contributor to Jonesreport, a newsletter for shopping center marketing directors.

Connie received her Certified Marketing Director (CMD) designation from the ICSC in 1980 and her Senior designation (SCMD) in 1998. She holds both a Master of Arts degree in Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations from the University of Southern California.
